Resurvey

To add observations to a permanent plot, follow these steps:

1. Assign a "Permanent Plot ID" to your original observation. (You may need to activate this field in the project profile first.)
   Note: After adding a permanent plot ID, the plot will move to the end of the plot list, and the permanent ID will be displayed alongside the observation name.
2. Create a duplicate of the plot with the same permanent properties by long-pressing the original observation in the plot list. The new observation will have the same location, plot size, plot shape, etc., as the original plot. Data in custom fields of the types 'Location', 'Plot geometry', or 'Placement strategy' will also be transferred.
3. Edit the observation name as needed.
4. You can later retrieve species from previous plots by pressing and holding the second plus button in the species list. You will be prompted to enter the name of the original observation and the source layer.
